Ben Lasscock

Dr. Ben Lasscock is Director of Digital Data Innovation at TGS, where he works at the intersection of geophysics, data science, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. His interests include seismic and well-log foundation models, multimodal subsurface AI, agentic workflows, and modern data formats for large geoscience archives. He has contributed to machine-learning-assisted seismic processing and interpretation and to the development of MDIO. Lasscock holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics and has experience in quantitative finance and scientific computing.
