Carel Hooijkaas

Carel Hooijkaas is Executive Vice President, Marine Data Acquisition at TGS, where he leads the company's towed streamer and ocean-bottom node (OBN) acquisition businesses. With more than 30 years of experience in the oilfield services and energy technology sector, he has held several senior leadership roles at TGS, including EVP of Operations, New Energy Solutions, and Acquisition. From 2019 to 2023, he served as CEO of Magseis Fairfield. Prior to that, he spent much of his career with SLB, including serving as President of WesternGeco and GeoMarket Manager for the North Sea. Carel began his career offshore with WesternGeco and holds an M.Sc. in Measurement and Control Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands.
