Fredrick Tyler
Fredrick Tyler is a global energy executive, entrepreneur, and commercial strategist with over 20 years of experience leading complex drilling and carbon storage operations across five continents. He currently serves as Global Sales Executive for Tracerco’s Carbon Authentication division, where he oversees commercial strategy for tracer technologies that support Class VI and Class II well compliance, CO₂ fingerprinting, leak detection, and long-term MRV monitoring for CCS projects. Fredrick’s expertise is grounded in deep operational leadership across North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. His early career in drilling evolved into a specialized focus on carbon sequestration wells, where he supports operators in designing tracer-based monitoring programs that meet or exceed regulatory standards—validating safe, permanent storage of CO₂. His understanding of reservoir behavior, well integrity, and molecular tracer deployment places him at the forefront of subsurface monitoring innovation. A key focus of his current work includes distinguishing between multiple CO₂ streams in hub-style sequestration facilities, where Tracerco’s tracer technology enables source attribution, part-per-trillion leak detection, and plume tracking—all integrated into a secure digital platform for regulatory use. Before joining Tracerco, Fredrick founded and led Tyler Group Partners, a water infrastructure and logistics firm that transformed frac water and injection water operations in the Delaware Basin. The company managed over 30,000 acres of energy-rich land, built pit and pipeline infrastructure, and negotiated multimillion-dollar deals with major operators. His leadership directly contributed to a $100 million asset exit, proving his entrepreneurial ability to scale technical ventures into successful commercial outcomes. Fredrick also held senior international roles with Nabors Industries, including Area Manager assignments in Algeria and Oman, where he led nine-rig operations and delivered record-setting safety and performance. He managed high-stakes drilling operations in Kazakhstan and Mexico, building joint ventures and improving KPIs by optimizing asset use, vendor management, and downtime mitigation. His leadership in these complex environments helped secure contracts with national oil companies and expanded Nabors’ footprint in emerging markets. Beyond traditional oil and gas, Fredrick has consistently adopted emerging technologies to modernize field operations. At Data Gumbo and IPT Well Solutions, he worked at the intersection of drilling and digital innovation—introducing smart contracts, blockchain integration, and real-time performance tracking to optimize wellsite management and enhance accountability. Today, Fredrick combines hands-on field experience with high-level commercial insight to advance the future of carbon storage. Whether supporting Class VI well permitting, hub-scale MRV strategies, or offshore plume tracking, he helps clients implement tracer-based solutions that minimize cost and operational risk while meeting the highest regulatory standards.
