Jonathan Lightfoot is a Principal and Senior Drilling Engineering Consultant with Oxy Worldwide Drilling & Completions, where he provides technical drilling support. He graduated from Louisiana Lafayette in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Jonathan has 28 years of expertise in the oil and gas sector and specializes in performance drilling, measuring while drilling, high-precision gyroscopic wellbore surveying, and horizontal directional drilling. Jonathan leads Oxy's Wellbore Placement Community of Practice, which assists with the placement of wells and wellbores around the world. He also instructs internal engineers on how to use physics-based modeling to determine operational hook-loads, torque, and pressures for drilling, casing, coiled tubing, and well servicing tubular strings
