Michael O'Connell is the Chief Analytics Officer at Spotfire. He leads the Spotfire Field Technology teams - Data Science, Architecture, Customer Success and Field Engineering. These teams deliver a rapidly-evolving set of Spotfire Visual Data Science tools and accelerators with focus on the Energy Sector. Recent work includes combining well-log, deviation survey and completions data to surface insights and optimize production. Michael did his Ph.D. work in Statistics at NC State University. He has been developing statistical software applications for the past 30 years, and has published many software packages, patents and publications.
