Mohammad (Jabs) Aljubran
Jabs Aljubran is a geothermal researcher at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL). He holds a PhD from Stanford University in Energy Resources Engineering, where he worked directly with Professor Roland Horne, the director of the Stanford Geothermal Program. Jabs is focused on nationwide geothermal resource mapping, and modeling and optimizing the techno-economics of next-generation geothermal power and energy storage. Prior to his PhD, Jabs spent four years in the oil and gas industry, working as a drilling engineer and developing onshore and offshore resources. Jabs has published over 45 articles and holds six granted patents. He received multiple awards, including the 2024 Stanford University Henry J. Ramey Fellowship, the 2022 Geothermal Rising Marcelo Lippmann Graduate Scholarship Award, and the 2019 Stanford University Frank G. Miller Fellowship.
