Robert has been in oil and gas for more than 27 years. He began his career at Sperry -Sun/Halliburton in 1998 as an MWD/LWD field engineer. Later he moved to R&D working in the software development group. He has been involved in POSC/Energistics since 2000 and with WITSML Standard from the beginning of the Standard. Robert was one of the architects of the Energistics Transfer Protocol (ETP) and a co-author of the WITSML 1.4/2.0/2.1. Currently he is a Co-Chair of the WITSML Certification team. Also actively involved in multiple OSDU working groups. He is the Operations & IT Director at Bardasz. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on data communications. He has co-authored an SPE paper on WITSML and has been awarded two patents on transferring oil field data.
