Ty Audronis
Ty Audronis is the founder and CEO of Tempest DroneWorx, a cutting-edge software company revolutionizing how organizations interpret and act on complex data environments. A U.S. Navy veteran and pioneer in the drone industry, Ty brings over 25 years of experience in software development, visualization, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) control. His expertise spans sensor fusion, command and control architecture, and airspace deconfliction—skills that have been instrumental in developing Tempest’s flagship platform, Harbinger. This real-time, 3D, multi-spectral visualization tool integrates data from drones, sensors, and other sources to provide actionable intelligence across industries, from wildfire prevention to defense. Ty’s journey into drone technology began in 1997, and he has since authored two books on drone design and developed multiple patents. The devastating 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California—his hometown—was a turning point that inspired him to create solutions that could prevent such tragedies. In 2021, alongside co-founder Dana Abramovitz, he launched Tempest DroneWorx with a vision of deploying drone battalions for real-time situational awareness. Today, Tempest is not just a drone company—it’s a software innovator, recently securing a U.S. Air Force SBIR contract to further develop its technology for military applications.
