Derek Gonsuron is a Product Manager for CCUS at S&P Global Commodity Insights Upstream Solutions. Previously, he worked as an evaluation engineer at SLB and held roles as a commercial manager/technical advisor at SLB and IHS Markit. With 20 years in the energy industry, he's been involved in diverse CCUS operations, including procuring, verifying, and interpreting subsurface data crucial to CCUS field developers, assessing subsurface storage quality and integrity, and pioneered innovative strategies to overcome the unique challenges associated with CO2 injection. Derek holds an engineering degree from the University of Louisiana, where he was a track and cross-country athlete.
