Katherine Garcia is a Latina geoscientist with a Bachelor's degree in Geosciences from Franklin and Marshall College and a Master's degree in Energy and Earth Resources from the University of Texas at Austin. Inspired by the GeoFORCE program, Katherine embarked on a journey to explore the wonders of geology. She actively promotes diversity in the field through programs like GeoFORCE and EMERGE, which support underrepresented students. In 2019, Katherine was honored with the Expanding Representation in Geosciences Scholarship from the Geological Society of America (GSA). Her dedication to geoscience and commitment to sustainability make her a valuable asset in the field.
