Mike Isernia has been involved with technology and innovation for over 35 years. He has held a variety of global positions at companies of various sizes. Mik started working in energy in 2002 with HP and moved on to Microsoft as Director of Strategic Partnerships for E&P and then to Nvidia to lead GPU adoption by the E&P ecosystem. In 2012 he joined Hue/Headwave. and a few years later, the newly formed Energy IBU at AWS as the Global BD Lead for HPC and Technical Computing. In AWS he focuses on combining the capabilities and value of the cloud with existing technologies at the core of exploration for hydrocarbons. His primary interest today is around cloud HPC, especially in the application of seismic processing and Imaging to the application of modern AI to seismic interpretation. Mik’s has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Milan, Italy and an Executive MBA from the Stanford School of Business in California.
