Monique Velásquez
Monique Velásquez is General Manager of the Global Exploration Review Team, based in Houston, Texas. In her current position, she serves as the head of Chevron’s Exploration corporate assurance group. She is also part of the Executive Exploration Leadership Team responsible for setting the company’s global Exploration strategy.
She joined Chevron in 2004 as an Exploration Geophysicist and has held multiple roles of increasing responsibility working across North America, strategic planning, West Africa, the Technology Center, and organizational capability.
Monique has a B.S. degree in Geology from the University of New Orleans and a M.S. in Geophysics from the University of Texas El Paso. In her career, she has lived and worked in multiple locations such as Midland, TX, Lafayette, LA and Houston, TX working for Chevron and previously Conoco.
