Dr. Piyush Kumar is a Professor of Computer Science at Florida State University. He received his B.Sc in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Kharagpur and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stony Brook University. Prior to joining Florida State, he was a visiting scientist at Max Planck Institute, Saarbruecken, Germany. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Kumar is heavily involved in entrepreneurship efforts. In 2018, he founded Cognitive GeoInterpretation Inc., to solve sluggish oil and gas workflows with creative AI solutions.
