WORKSHOP
W-1: 4D FWI for Reservoir Monitoring
Friday, 21 August | 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | TBD
FWI-based 4D seismic is redefining time-lapse reservoir monitoring by delivering higher repeatability, improved sensitivity to small production-driven changes, and direct estimation of velocity and impedance variations. This workshop will focus on recent advances and practical deployment of 4D FWI, including acquisition strategies, multi-parameter inversion, noise and uncertainty handling, and real-world case studies demonstrating measurable reservoir insights. The aim is to bring together leading experts to discuss challenges, share best practices, and chart the next steps for making 4D FWI a robust and mainstream technology for reservoir surveillance.
