AAPG Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) Ceremony

During this year’s IBA program a total of 68 teams – 325 students – worked their respective datasets and competed in their respective Region & dataset discipline semifinals. Of those 68 teams, nine (9) won the right to compete in the Global Final competition.

First place winner – Imperial Barrel Award
San Diego from the North America Region with a geothermal dataset.

Second place winner – Selley Cup
Sultan Qaboos from the Middle East Region with a petroleum dataset.

Third place winner – Stoneley Medal
Texas A&M from the North America Region with a petroleum dataset.
