Jacob Sheehan
Jacob Sheehan received his B.S. in Physics and Mathematics and his M.S. in Geophysics from Ohio University in 2000 and 2002. He started his career at Oak Ridge National Laboratory working with the Army Environmental Command to conduct in-depth modeling-based research into seismic refraction tomography for complex applications including karst risk analysis. He then shifted focus to airborne magnetic and electromagnetic methods for airborne UXO mapping for almost 10 years before moving his focus back to seismic and other methods for engineering and environmental applications. He has extensive experience conducting geophysical surveys for environmental and engineering applications. His specialties include using seismic, electrical, electromagnetic and magnetic methods for a wide range of applications including bedrock mapping, karst evaluation, groundwater mapping for resource and contamination studies, seismic site class determination, dam and levee assessment, UXO mapping and transportation planning.
