Julian Yao
Qiuliang (Julian) Yao is currently a Rock Physics Lead with Teverra, to lead its CO2 plume monitoring technology development efforts, as part of its carbon storage program. He is a rock physics and geomechanics expert with more than twenty years of combined academic research and industry consulting experience. He earned his Bachelor degree in Physics from Nanjing University, a Master degree in Physics from Sam Houston State University, and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from University of Houston. His research activities range from fundamental poroelasticity theory, fluid effects in inhomogeneous porous media, seismic dispersion and attenuation, hydrocarbon fluid properties, to 4D seismic monitoring.
